MODIFIED 40X

The Modified 40X stock is the perfect type of stock for 3-position and National Match competitions. The entire cheekpiece is vertically adjustable, the deep belly gives a better left hand support position for off-hand shooting, and the cut-away forearm gives a much lower and more stable hold for the prone position. The deep belly area will accept an extended magazine box for a full five round capacity. This stock will work well with any Remington type action. It is recommended for a blind magazine only, and is only available in a right hand model.  Color shown, 50% purple 50% white marble.

BAKER SPECIAL

The Baker Special was designed by high power shooter Billie Baker using a Winchester Marksman as a starting point. He first extended the beavertail forend to the rear and tapered it back through the receiver area to increase stiffness. He then added a shallow drop belly so that Model 700's and Model 70's could have a custom long magazine box fabricated to hold five rounds in the magazine for rapid fire. It is available with a vertically adjustable comb and as a blind magazine only. It may have the 2-way or 3-way buttplate fitted and a forend rail, but will not accept the spacer system. It is ambidextrous and may be inletted for both right and left hand. It may also be inletted for the CZ550 magnum with heavy target type barrels, but requires some custom work on the rear tang of the stock.  Color shown, painted black.
